Yup .. you'll get a card with a membership number on it. I no longer need to show it at my stealers .. they just know me as "ABS" and click on it on the computer and the discounts just come up ...  :)

Use Drive and not Marshalls, they also often have better than trade club deals on oil etc

Not sure as mine ever came though... nor, indeed, has any ABS newsletters... it's been nearly a year since I rejoined, probably should say something  :D

As above, they tend to 'know you' after a while, so getting the card just kicks things off.  :y

I must rejoin ABS and get a new TC card. I let it all slide when I decided my VX days were drawing to an end.  ::)

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I'm in the same boat as Migv6, I let my membership elapse a while back and am looking to rejoin, does anyone know if ABS still do the TC card?

Just bear in mind not all VX Dealers accept Trade Club any more.

I know, the closest one to me used to be Frosts, before it all changed. Now, if I remember correctly, the nearest one is Go Vauxhall over at Burgess Hill. No idea if I'll have any trouble with the ABS card there though.

I think more dealers are rejoining the scheme, now they've had time to jump through the hoops TC laid out.

when I joined abs moons ago and first used my abs card the dealer wasn't acquainted with it so he made a phone call . a few weeks later I was sent a vx trade card that lasted for 2yrs & was renewed when expired. they also sent a catalogue + a cd covering all vx parts & cost. ( I lent them out & never got back ) I cannot use my local dealer as they don't deal with t.c. so they say. I travel a round trip of about 70mls but where I go now know me & have even had stuff at cost price.
