Title: Fault code 0330
Post by: raymie440 on 05 June 2016, 12:30:46
Hi all, took the car on a good run yesterday, car is running great but the spanner symbol would show now and again then disappear again. Pedal read this morning shows code 0330 and having checked the codes I believe it to be the knock sensor. Should I be concerned about this and what are the possible causes and fix. I am planning to give the car a full service next week so I could do or check anything then. Thanks in advance you lovely oofers!

Quick update, changed the knock sensor, serviced the car, out on test drive, boom light on again. Now thinking it may be the coil pack, when I changed the plugs the wells were full of oil. Any ideas?

Clean the breathers and replace the camcover gaskets before you kill the coil packs ;)

Get a meter out and check the loom from ecu to knock sensor.

Ultimately, the code means the ECU is not getting a valid signal from it.

If you don't feel competent with a test meter, check you haven't trapped the knock sensor wire when you fitted it  ;)
Normal spot is behind the alternator if it isn't clipped up perfect  ;)

Guess how I know that  ::) :-[
