Personally, I stand by my comment in the other post on this subject ;D
Kin ell, if I took offence to some of the shite that has been said about me (normally via pm and yes I have had a heads up 2 or 3 times over the last 7 years) seriously, i'd be setting up a false account and name, turning up at a meet and sneaking into 1 or 2 tents at 4 in the morning with a blade between my teeth ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D

So remember, not many people know what I look like and have a false tash and wig somewhere so remember to lock your tent at night :-X :D :D :D

A lot of the lads on here know each other personally and have done for years so get the jist of what's been said and more importantly what is meant by it ;)
Some people take it the wrong way then they get sucked up into t'internet land and want to fight each other ::) :(

Have to say that it's one aspect of this forum I find very peculiar - the way people seem to run multiple accounts. Most others I've been on try to limit 1 person to 1 account.
Am I right that Taxi Al = Harris K Telemacher = swordfish? Or are there just thousands of people called Al? ;D

Ok, That's exactly my point. The thread I looked at shows a discussion between Swordfish and "05omegav6".
Unless you're in the know, what glaringly obvious point have I missed that links Taxi Al, Harris K and 05omegav6? ::) Presumably this is why other forums I've been on operate the 1 person 1 account policy.

You sign up with a username, that's the default 05omegav6. You can change the displayed name any time you like. Al drove a taxi(obviously) so became taxi Al. Then he/someone changed it to HKT. When he deleted his account, the tag reverted to his original sign up name.
Definitely no relation to swordfish.

That's something I do agree with tbh even though we have had some cracking nights over the years on here with General Melchet and Mrs Cakey to name a few ;D :y
These alter ego's are especially helpful for certain members after the mention of Magic Tree air fresheners, Musicals with a high content of songs from a certain Swedish pop band ect ;)
Not like I would ever stir up such trouble of course but they are some members who do :-X

I'm not sure why Al decided to do what he did,because I would say that as far as most of us are concerned he was entitled to an opinion and all he did was to challenge a post on the legality of a product being offered for sale, and Al has an analytical mind which I'm quite jealous of, instantly saw a problem with the description...absolutely nothing wrong with that! and without people like him on this forum,who has a vast mechanical knowledge base that many members including myself have called on and have been impressed at his ability to problem solve, then this forum will be a dull old place if someone comes on here and doesn't like being challenged by somebody like Al.SO! if Al bites your ankles there's a reason for it....and if you don't like his or anyone else's opinions and your not man enough to suck it up....perhaps this is not the place for you! ::) :)

Your entitled to your opinion ken BUT taxi al rounded on me and certain other forum for no reason at to all ...and as you know I am certainly 'man enough' to suck up constructive criticism but when it turns into personal and sometimes nasty comments for his own amusement, this forum is no place for that....but it is very easy to be a keyboard warrior

Agreed... and I don't think Mark can disagree on that point,but my remarks were based on any dealings with Al that I have had on a personal basis and to say that I found him to be a good guy that will go the extra mile to get you out of trouble.As to Al's comments on here, then I'm sorry to say that one or two people dish it out but can't take it, and as Al doesn't suffer fools gladly then they have only themselves to blame on that score.And as Mark says there may have been some friction between he and Al,but that's personal and as already mentioned, the diversity of the membership will always throw up disagreements occasionally.I guess it's that old saying if you don't like the programme then there's always the off switch.....and in all honesty I do and don't agree on the various topics and I've had people have a pop at me but hey! it's a forum and it's topical.Suppose we could all go onto face ache and sift through endless shite about shite :)
