Not actually mine but it's my dads. It was bought after his vectra C died. The car was a reasonable price, 1 previous owner and only 70k ish miles on the clock. The bodywork is a bit tired and in need of tlc but mechanically it's in good working order which is a definite bonus.
Since owning it we've done a few things to it and got a list of other things to do.
So far we've done:
Headlights polished with upgraded bulbs
Air con valve replaced as it was leaking
Regarded with can bought from halfords (needs proper regas)
Removed the sticky residue left from GB sticker
Still to do:
Give it a thorough valet and detail
Fix the hole in the exhaust
Change the front discs and pads
Bleed the brakes all round
Full service
Replace leaking washer bottle
Replace coolant header tank (coolant level message fault)
Replace o/s mirror cover (wrong colour)
Replace/repair back bumper
Get cambelt replaced soonish
Will be putting wheels and tyres from his vectra on temporarily as they were new tyres before the car died
Well I think that's all for now but no doubt I will end up adding to the list.

Looking good - not star silver! :D
Worth checking what kind of wear is on the outgoing tyres - it would be a near-certainty that you need the front suspension at least looking at and a subsequent camber/geometry setup. All Omegas need it doing at some point, and to a very high standard, too. Otherwise the all-independent rear-drive chassis of the Omega will soon eat through the front-drive affair of them Vectra wheels :y

Yeah the tracking is going to get look at after I've changed the brakes etc. Dad did mention that one of the tyres is wearing on the outside edge and the other on the inside edge.
-
Worst I ever saw was 'fine' tyres chewed to canvas in a month. Ideally that's priority 1 - and to be honest, unless your brakes are dangerously poor, in the case of Omegas, I'd move tracking to top priority. :)
-
It will be done straight after the brakes. Dad wants the new tyres on first

looks very clean

Yeah it's not too bad. Got some mismatched paint, a few flaking patches and a few scuffs etc but to be fair it's a 16 year old car. The previous seems to have looked after the mechanics and not worried too much about the bodywork which is fine as I am happy to tidy up the exterior.

:y A great looking car. :)

Thanks. Dad's pretty chuffed with it. Kind of interested to see what it looks like with the change of wheels tomorrow haha
-
Good looking car. Why are you changing the rims?
You'll loose comfort
-
To utilise the new tyres on the other wheels. So far actually the ride is every bit as comfortable.
For some reason the passenger side pads are rubbing so I've gotta dismantle it again and see if anything is sticking.

Brakes are sorted. Took all the carrier off and wire brushed it AGAIN and filed it down before covering the contact points with copper grease. Take it for a spin including fast roads and it's all sorted now. :)
