Makes a man wary of paying £200 to straighten back end of KR02, not to mention other costs, doesn't it? Buying a used car brings with it costs of collection and sorting, but still . . .

buyer has already left feedback saying the seller would not sell at that price

Interesting. So he has set a reserve after the auction. I expect the buyer is miffed.

The fact remains that old Omegas don't fetch much in auction, even with 12 months MOT. I recall the lads warning JamesV6CDX only to embark on his restoration project if he wanted to keep the car.

If no reserve was set and the auction finished then the seller should pay by paypal and the car is legally his I think.

There was a case upheld in Germany a few years ago involving a rather nice yacht worth about €35,000 ... seller had neglected to place a reserve and buyer won said yacht for a pittance. Courts upheld in favour of the buyer.
