"We have voted to leave the EU. The pound has plunged by 10%. Markets are in turmoil. A very bad day for those with stocks and shares".
Here's Carol with the weather  :)

So the referendum was supposed to prevent the weather as well as creating Utopia? I must have missed that part of the campaign.

Well, the day started with sunshine and blue sky, but has clouded up a bit now...

I know two folks who won quite a bit betting on the Brexit. I chickened out of placing a bet, too.

Not sure if im right here..The other day was the first time ive been in the bookmakers for years..

When we bet do we have a choice of taking the price/odds at the time of bet or we can just leave it hoping the odds will get better...Is that how it works  :-\

Reading about the betting patterns was interesting as the odds on Remain was for a smaller number of much bigger bets, especially in Central London, whereas Leave bets were a much bigger number for much small amounts, hence the long odds. You would have thought the bookies would have sussed, more small bets on Leave might reflect voting intentions in a winner takes all contest! ::) Looks like they deserved to lose £330m. ;D ;D ;D
