Title: Car insurance
Post by: BazaJT on 29 June 2016, 18:43:34
Started looking for insurance for the V70,unless I can find a company that'll let me use same ncd for both cars then I'm having to get quotes for the V70 with no ncd.Quotes obtained thus far have ranged from £595 to £622 fully comp at 3,000 miles per year[although I don't think I'll come close to that I want some leeway for contingency purposes]anyone recommend any decent and reasonably cheap companies? Also is this legal protection that they tend to push worth having?

Your'e probably to young to go with Saga but,I insured my 3.2 MV6 today, fully comp for £126,but then they tried to bend me over for £1500 for the VXR8.I know the Omega was cheap but also I know it was only to get me on the hook, next year it will be plus another £100 ::)

Too young for Saga? How old do you need to be?*

*I'm not too far short of 63!

The Elite is running on the policy with 9yrs NCD and I did have another policy with 5yrs NCD but I cancelled that one when I cut down to one car and it's now obsolete as it's over 2yrs since it was in force. My present insurer who is very reasonable on price for the Elite is the one now quoting the highest price for the Volvo :o

Try Admiral, if you get through to a decent opperator they might mirror your policy. ::)

I put them on the spot explaining I can only ever be driving one of the 2 insured cars, they accepted and I have had a mirrored policy for a few years now.  :y

CIS (Co-op) have given me decent quotes in the past, may be worth a try.

A lot of Insurance Co's will do a Mirror Policy but you need to ask for it, years back I had 3 Omega's all mirrored on the same policy all the same price. Down side to Mirroring is a Ding in one will affect all the others.
