A question regarding the feathered type of bird ( I wouldnt expect anyone to understand the other type they are a law unto themselves as we all know )
We have had a pair of sparrows nesting in our bathroom extract fan louvre ,they seem to have nested two or three times and now they seem to have abandoned the nest so would we be OK to get the nest out of the fan so we can use it again or is it best to leave it a little longer
-
Just check carefully that no eggs or chicks still in the nest. If not remove it.
-
Yep..checkit first,if all flown away then remove it all and see if they come back next time...cheep cheep.. ;D
-
The only problem with checking it is I will need to remove the fan from inside the bathroom I don't have a ladder at home to get up from the outside
So if it still has anything in it they are going to be disturbed and I don't want to do that really maybe I will give them another week to make sure , they make enough noise when they are in there
-
Turn the fan on and see if any feathers fly out. If so, leave it. ;D
-
I think that they have all fledged by now. :y
-
Smart birds, built in AC. :y
-
Serve notice on them..poke it through the slits in the fan....if they aint gone...send in the bailiffs,,, ;D ;D
-
Or the cat :)

Don`t bring it in the house. I was inspecting a vacated blue tits nest the other weekend & the flea`s were a jumpin :o
-
It now seems empty there hasn't been any noise at all so I will try to get it out at the weekend

Damn pigeons! My car is covered in crap! >:(
