To everyone who's contributed with advice.
Thank you.
Reason I've not posted is that a few weeks back started to strip the engine but never got to the heads as Unfortunately my Mum broke both her legs so I've not been around or had time to get on with it,
I will however post the progress when I get time to get on with it.

Thanks for the update. Hope your Mum recovers.
Good luck.

So sorry to hear about your Mum. Best wishes for her full recovery.
The car can wait. :y

Problem found well sort of
Let down by a customer so nice weather get a start on the 3.2
Have drivers side head off and we have a bit of head gasket missing between cylinder 1 & 3.
I have taken photos to show you all.
Question now is the gasket looks good actually it looks really good for a car with 10500 miles on it.
What on earth would cause this break in between we're looking at about 1.5-2.0 MM. missing.
There's no rust on the gasket
-
Meant to say it looks like it's been burnt through.
There's no damage to Pistons or rings and no damaged or bent valves ?????????
Checked oil and water channels and look good

Could be the result of a previously botched repair, with the gasket being reused :-\
