Or he's just remembered where he left it after a tea-break

Weirdly I had a very vivid dream last night that it had started snowing in July.. Big, soft, laying flakes of snow.

Could be because the last time I moved house I woke up to find 8" of snow outside and I'm moving in two weeks..  ;D ;D

So you're admitting, in advance, that the crap summer of 2016 is your fault?

How brave 8)

It's normally my fault, so I'd agree with that... :D

The weather here will be scorching from next Wednesday for a week as I'm of to a week of wind and rain in the Canaries...

I wouldn't mind if I could get out and enjoy any of it, rain or shine. Been horizontal mostly since April through one thing and another  :'( :'( :'( Keep looking at the Disco turning to a pile of rust in the garage, not lifted a spanner on it since last September.

Don't worry Jason, the Disco will still be returning to it's natural state of ferrous oxide even when you're back on your feet  :y

Wait.. not the kind of reassurance you were hoping for?  :-X

In the summer, they get sent to the workshop to get stripped down and repair all the corrosion damage and general siezure created by the salt ready for the winter.

The other year, the highways mob built a swanky new hanger & yard on the outskirts of Havant.
Everyone assumed the hanger would house the brand new fleet of gritters & patrol cars seen gathering dust behind the locked gates. Nope, they then filled the hanger with the tons of salt & grit & it looked great  :y To date, I think they`ve been out gritting about a dozen times  ::)

That's because people are stupid... Vehicles are generally waterproof,  road salt is not ::)

Very simple way to guess summer weather is look at the Jetstream map. If it is very south like at the moment we will have cloudy, changeable, wet weather and if cold arctic air meets hot southern-European air then we have, like now, many thunderstorms and summer runoff flash floods. A good indication of a far northern jet stream and settled sunny weather is the Azores high being further north than average and covering parts of the UK.

I'm sure those that like a slightly warmer arctic-UK winter as their summer are very happy as we haven't had the usual too hot wingers on here yet! :P :P :P

The longer these little b******s stay away the better  ;D

Seen plenty of bees, Very few butterflies not as many as you'd see years ago. Not seen one ladybird... Seen plenty (more than usual) of those annoying blue bottle flies though.
