Morning folks,
I have the broken adjuster issue that many suffer from.
I have taken a spare set of headlights apart using the oven method and found two different suppliers of aftermarket adjusters:
- Sparkes and Noise who make the aluminium ones at £15 each
- Carlami on eBay who make a stainless steel/polyurethane item at £8 each
The ally ones look very good and obviously won't break but I am concerned they may oxidise and seize. Is this an issue?

One last question - I assume when it comes to reinstalling the lenses on to the headlight you put the lense and headlight body back on the oven to make the glue tacky again and then put the two back together?

I've got the carlami set off eBay and yes they do the job but I found the thread for the adjuster was very tight so I tapped out the thread myself and used grease.
While I haven't tried the ally ones I think I would prefer them?
I did think the ally ones were the first design and replaced by the others but I'm really not sure on that.

Have tried and used both and really they both do the job fine. :y
Its worth running a tap through the thread of either just to ensure a smooth action on adjuster.
Real difference seems just to be cost

The aluminium ones are clearly CNC machined from a 3D model, and are excellent. The Carlami appear to be cast in a mould taken from an original, with a metal insert for the ball. Finish isn't brilliant but you can't see them when fitted. They appear to be robust which is the important thing. Having refurbished a batch of headlights late last year, the resin ones required a tap run through them to engage with the screw; the aluminium ones benefited from the same. Both are a big improvement over the thin hard plastic originals.
Ken said that he had bought the last of the aluminium ones, and they would no longer be available, hence the mix and match of both types.
Personally, If I had to do mine, I wouldn't spend twice as much just to get a prettier part.

I have the ali ones in mine, and been trouble free for several years. I did grease the thread first to stop steel/ali corrosion.
Not used others, so can't comment.
