All this talk of cam belt kit changes is making me nervous. My 4 V6s are OK and Jonny's 2.2 is awaiting disposal or repair. Ben's 2.2 I have owned 4 years, when purchased, 2012, 65000 miles, I found evidence of a cam belt change so took no action. Now 100,000 miles and 4 years on, I must act. Please advise where to buy good water pump and cam belt kit. I am nore nervous about the water pump than the cam belt kit, having suffered fatal WP failure in the past.

Terry, no professional is going to put up with a constant supply of inadequate common consumable parts, so ask your favoured local garage where they buy parts. A locally sourced belt kit and water pump is going to be about £100.
This should save you all the grief you caused yourself with the V6 belt kits.

Thanks again, Rob, Kit ordered.

Kit arrived Tuesday 19th as I was collecting e-bay 2.2 from Neath, 144000 miles and no service history, so on Wednesday I fitted kit to new arrival. It fitted perfectly, looked good so I ordered another idential kit for Ben's car.
