Title: I've gone to the dark side today....
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 15 July 2016, 22:56:41
.... and bought a Beemer!!  :o.

I've been looking for an estate recently and have ended up with a 1999 BMW 530d Tourer in a burgundy red colour, with 115700 on the clock and quite alot of history as well!  :y

The big derv drinker seems nice and smooth and it feels a pretty solid drive. All in all, so far so good, and I'm a happy boy!!   :)

I didn't think to check the indicators because I thought everyone is supposed to stay out of my way because I'm driving a BMW!  :-X  ::)  ;D

Not so long ago I commented about car version being called E . . . . this or W . . . . .that. I never got a sensible response.

People refer to an E 123 or whatever. When you see an advert for a 20?? BMW 5 Series or a 20?? Merc 320 E class whatever how does that translate into an XYZ 123 model ? Is there a list somewhere ?

Ah, BTW, I've just got a Volvo XC70. 2006, 92K. So far so good. Picked up in morning, driven to France in the afternoon. Just back after 2 weeks and about 2k miles no probs. Still got MV6 for now, hard to let go  :-\
