Title: Thanks Marks DTM
Post by: TheBoy on 22 July 2008, 00:17:07
Thanks Mr DTM for taking the time to replace my wishbone bushes this evening :y

Changing wishbones is one of those 'easy' jobs that I dislike, as the only time I've done it before, I had trouble.

Marks DTM whipped them off (despite my attempts to make it difficult for him ::)), pressed out the old bushes on his very 'professional' 6t press, press the replacement bushes in, and refit.  And I reckon between 1hr30 and 1hr45 start to finish - last time I did wishbones it took me all day :o

Thanks Mark :y

And sorry for the late night phone call - I promise I wasn't seeing if my MID would go to 0 miles left, I simply hadn't noticed ;D

Quickly went to Morrisons for fuel. Shut. Oh dear (or words to that effect).  Marks DTM gave me directions to next nearest station that would be open.  Still haven't got this MID below 3m range though ::)

I start to worry below 150 miles, and that's on the Citroen cos the Mig does not do that sort of thing. :(

Blimey! My Westfield only does 170 on a tank (brim to walking!). ;D

Was lucky to get 120 to a tank before I fitted fuel injection.

That was fun when travelling through France on a Sunday lunch time when all the garages were shut.

The old MID I had down to 0, and still did a few miles (at 60mph down the M40) ::)

They weren't, she was at the cinema!

The biggest problem last night was Jamie's dry nuts, he hadn't put grease on them when they were fitted last time  ::)

And those dry nuts meant that I couldn't get an answer on the phone to pose a few questions about replacing my rear springs.

He needs one of those Batman Stylee flashing red phones in the garage!

Wet nuts always cause embarrassing irritation in my experience.

Still, it amused me watching you gently working my nuts.

Its still all over the place - trying to book in for alignment soon - but feels sharper if that makes sense.

Those contis seem to tramline worse than the Dunlops, though not fair comparison until I have it all checked, as I know the camber must be way out.

My MID gets totally confused when I start getting low on petrol......its the lpg i reckon that causes it.....before I stuck £20 of petrol in it yesterday......it was saying 14 miles to go ......then the next start 0 miles to go....then the next 4 miles....when it said 0 to go....the gauge had moved (albiet still in the red tho) the fuel warning light was on but wasnt flashing.....  :-/
