Post by: Figureman52 on 16 August 2016, 11:37:40

MOT Failure. :(

Where is the current best place to obtain one, and what sort of price should I be paying?

Thanks.

I think I paid 14 from autovaux. Check ebay could be cheaper

A lot of the cheap ones have more play from new / a month old than the faulty one your removed!

Personally I wouldnt go cheap.

VX are the best route.
Lemforder were always good, but there were quality concerns on a batch a year or so ago, no idea if they are fine again now.

Put a Lemforder one on last year. Came up as an advisory on this year's MOT after just 3000 miles. Genuine GM next time.

Please please please do not even consider anything but genuine GM.  It's a false economy. As others have already said, cheapo are worse out the box.

Set your self up with a trade club account online for discount.  Invent a company name vaguely related to cars or construction etc and register that. They don't check it.  :y
