Title: MOT Fail
Post by: Figureman52 on 17 August 2016, 06:19:24
Can anyone advise which part the examiner has failed from this please?

nearside rear Sub-frame attachment rubber mounting deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)

Do these have to be replaced as a pair?

Thanks.

At a guess, I would say that's the donut bushes, which sit between the subframe and chassis. Replace as a pair, easy enough job to do, and made easier if you only do one side at a time...... ask me how I know?  :'(

If it's the rear most ones, then the idiot tester who jacked it by the diff should obtain and fit them for you...

Donut bushes are a relatively simple job... certainly nothing like a grands worth :-\
