Title: vauxhall vivaro
Post by: raywilb on 23 August 2016, 23:23:56
my son rang me last Saturday morning to tell me he was buying a vehicle & I thought he said a zafira. so when he called to see me tonight driving a vivaro I was surprised. I need my ears testing. the dealer told him in a year to take it back for a service £99. also its done 74k & has a full service history but never had a cam belt change, so for another £210 the dealer said he would do it. me personally think the vendor knowing a belt was due should have done it.

I remember borrowing the company one a few years back. 3 miles up the road the gear stick went all loose and floppy.  ::)

A couple of cable ties later all was well. Really cr@p arrangement of cables to operate the gearbox. If the rest of it is as poor..  ;D

2.9T gross vehicle weight... clutch plate from a clit... yeahhh that'll be fine.  It won't judder like frig everytime you try and pull away... will it?  Ermm yes. Yes it will.  >:(

Re : cables to gearbox.. in the order of £600 if memory serves.  :o And that was 6yrs ago.

Concentric slave cylinder is shit as well.

And *when* not if the transmission fails make sure the spastic monkeys at the garage don't level fill the box.  It's only supposed to have 2.6? ltrs in not 4+ where it spills out the filler.  ::)
