Title: who has a 2.2dti?

does the eberspacher fuel heater, warm the coolant or not? cant remember! and if it does has it got its own electric water pump? :y

Not looked into the one on my TDi yet so not sure, but the ones busses I repair at work just blow warm air through the vent system so would guess the Omega ones work the same way but I could be wrong.

as I understand it, the Eberspacher heater warms the coolant to bring the engine to temp sooner

Yes it's plumbed into the coolant system and pre-heats it.  :y

And because of the location under the front of the right wing, are one of the first things to go. Got one in the back of the van to go down the tip on Tuesday.

First time mine worked (cos it only cuts in under a certain temp) I though the car was on fire!!

Smoke billowing out under the wing....Lifted the bonnet and realised it was not in the engine bay but under the osf wing. Still shows it still worked I suppose.

great thanks thats answered one iof the questions, thought it was plumbed into the coolant system\\!
but im pretty sure it does not have its onw pump unless it uses the hbv to pump the collant as its warming it? anyone know?
