Title: Close call
Post by: BazaJT on 29 August 2016, 09:48:00
On the M1 yesterday I caught up with an artic in lane one being overtaken by a Captur in lane two.The truck was making his best[or close to it]allowable speed with the Captur inching past it at maybe another 1mph over the trucks speed!I went past in lane three just as the Captur pulled back into lane one ahead of the truck,if the truck driver had not hammered his brakes things would have gone pear shaped very quickly as the car had only just about cleared the trucks front bumper-there was only about a hairs breadth in it-a few seconds later as I looked in my mirror I saw the truck in lane two re-passing the car!!!

That's typical driving everywhere you go unfortunately. because every time I go somewhere theres always some arsehole who thinks its fine to pull in front of me with an inch to spare without indicating and then they proceed to do the same to numerous others until they get off at whatever junction they want usually cutting across all lanes to do it..

Don`t see any logic into what some folks will try  ???
Over a month ago I spotted a pooch with lead dangling on the A3 verge south of Guildford
Pulled in & parked up my bike safely out of harms way.
Walked back down  the verge & found "Molly" the spaniel in the long grass  :(
phoned the number on her collar & the owner had let her have a pee on the side of this busy road  :o & she`d run off about an hour earlier. She was safely back home in Richmond >:(
Did the owner report her missing  :-\ nope & could I look after her for the afternoon now.
I called 101 & waited 40 minutes with her until the highways mob reached my GPS pos.
He told me "The ruddy lunatics take picnics on the side of the road"  ::)
