Title: A/C Dead.....
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 30 August 2016, 18:56:34
.... again!  :(  Sigh!  ::)

Happily, I think I've found the cause and it's because the two pipes going into the compressor have been leaking.  :-\  The compressor itself seems to be OK.  :-\

I'm guessing these pipes are sealed with an O ring?  ???  Is it a compressor out job or can I remove the pipes and renew the O rings?  ???

TIA!  :y

Very difficult with it in place. With the bagpipes removed, I found it very easy to lift forward with pipes still attached once the mounting bolts were out, which again were fairly easy with under access. Then access for pipe removal is simple. :y

Thanks Shack!  :y

Am I right in thinking that the A/C pipes are sealed into the compressor with O rings?  :-\

Not 'o' rings exactly, but a washer with a rubber seal built into it. Someone will give you the name in a minute. :y

I bought an O ring kit with the condenser so maybe I have what I need as there were several bit and pieces left over....  :-\
