Title: Laughing at my expense
Post by: Tick Tock on 04 September 2016, 18:30:14
Just overheard a snippet of conversation between SWMBO and her best friend, and she went on to say that although she wasn't feeling on 'top form' and that she had a busy week planned, she still didn't want me to do the weekly shopping....... even though I had offered!

There's just some domestic jobs that aren't suited to man, as she often thinks I'd come back with a trolley full of stuff that the supermarkets want you to buy, rather than what we actually need  :D :D

Phew, got out of that one  :y but I do help put it all away when she gets back with a boot full.

But just think, you get to buy all the stuff that she won't let you normally

Hob Nobs
Proper butter instead of lo-cal lo-cholesterol lo-everything crapospread
Beer
Wine
Steaks
Other red meat things
Bourbon Biscuits
Proper bread - not eco-orgasmo-natural-seedo-wholeeverything bread
Decent bog paper, not 'ello vera
A "Dine in For £10" now and again  :y
Oh, an M&S special square thing pizza . . . . . luuurvely

Do the shopping now and again, it's worth it  :y

We do have butter  ..... spreadable, so almost real butter.
She has her 'healthy' bread ... not that it's making much difference to her waist line .... did I say that out loud?  :-X .... I get Warbie's thick white for toast.
I put my foot down with a firm hand years ago if she wants fat free, she can buy it for herself ..... I want the real McCoy

Ah, where I ring the dealer, ask for bits, give him a long number of a bit of plastic in a small leather folder, and it arrives the next day.

I've done that then, I'm the modern man :)
