Title: What is this mystery pipe at back of rocker cover ?
Post by: DrAndyB on 09 September 2016, 11:36:51
Found this at the back of engine whilst I am in the process of doing rocker cover gasket.

It's not connected to anything this end, and appears to disappear down transmission area.

Car is a Facelift 2.2 Petrol Automatic.  Is it a breather pipe ?

Thanks in advance  ;)

Gearbox breather pipe. Common 'find' -  often gets thought of as a vac pipe that's come adrift... and often a disconnected vac pipe gets mistaken for the gearbox breather pipe  :y

Phew.  Thanks.  Rocker cover back on time now and no more than 8Nm I recall on bolts ?
