Title: The dreaded MOT!
Post by: Bigron on 13 September 2016, 17:00:59
Well, not SO dreaded, as for the second year running, a clear pass with no advisories, although I did use a bottle of Cataclean first, plus a tankful of Shell V-Power and an Italian tune-up to help it sail through the emissions check!   8)

Mines up for sentencing at 11 O' Clock tomorrow  :-\

Just spent most of today polishing the headlights, spraying white grease about and attacking various threaded bits with copper grease.
Stuck a couple of tyres on the back end a couple of weeks ago due to this funny wire sticking out of the inside rim edge  :-[

Thanks Kevin; a lovely early morning smile!
It reminded me of a cartoon from ages ago in Motorcycle magazine.....
Picture a man on motorbike with a hole in petrol tank, splayed out like a peeled banana and the piston poking through the hole. Inscribed round the piston skirt was "Beware of over-revving"!   ;D

 ;D ;D

That's what I told the missus when the lad told her and she came running out to have a look  ::) ;D ;D

Oh well, a little bit of play in both track rod ends so they need doing for a ticket.
70 quid all in including the tracking so a reasonably happy bunny  :

It would cost me nearly that to re track afterwards if I did the job myself so no contest really.
