However, if a driver attempts to pull it off, a built-in anti-tamper alarm will sound that sounds off until the person stops stimulating it.
I'd hate it if an alarm went off every time I stimulated my barnacle.

So....once you've received your code and removed it, what do you do with your barnacle? Leave it in the road to be collected........or take it home and smash it into a thousand pieces with sammy?
Hmmmm......or......you could smash your windscreen and claim off your insurance. :)

I guess if you don't drop it off as demanded they take another great wad off your credit card as they now have all the details ........ :(

Fick them and their specific location. I would challenge that and ask why I should be expected to return property I didn't ask for, and tell them they could pick it up from my house any time I was in to give it to them.

If you've got a crack in your screen and the pressure from the pads causes it to shatter........?
Not very well thought out. The whole idea of not inconveniencing the motorist seems to fall down on several points.

Just drill 2 fine holes then get a replacement on the insurance.
Or get a stone chip laminate then you should be able to peel it off
