Title: WARNING!
Post by: HolyCount on 27 July 2008, 15:08:58
Don't know if this would occur to you -- it certainly didn't to me!!!

Youngster was running around barefoot this morning and on our balcony we have one of those metal manhole type covers --- anyway he plants both feet on the cover and screams !!!  Bl**dy thing was red hot from the sun !!

Just spent a few hours in casualty with a screaming 18 month old. Luckily the burns aren't that bad -- but I guess they hurt like hell.

At the moment he is sat on the sofa with two enormous white bandaged feet, watching some green spotted dragon on the TV -- the morphine is still acting. Poor little mite.

Anyway -- the object of this tale is to make this danger apparent to other parents on the forum -- as I said -- it never occured to me that these things get that hot !

 :o OMG!.....`poor mite! :'(

Such delicate skin on the tiddlers; but certainly something all with young`uns must now think about.....`just such a shame that the little-one had to suffer-so to bring it to everyone`s attention. :(

Grey Funnel Liners also get very hot in the tropics etc. You could quite easily burn yourself if you didn't lie on your ovies (boliersuit) properly!

I wonder if you're still allowed to get the rays lying on your boilersuit in your knick's in now that the fairer sex are allowed to go to sea?  :-?  ;)

Yes, I would be interested in the secret ingredient -- this one was painted ( black, mind you)  Maybe I should paint it white !

Yes, thanks, Jimbob ---- he seems happy ---- when the dressings slip down to the end of his socks he has feet like Ronald MacDonald !!!

He had a squirt of morphine yesterday -- so was quite tipsy and had regular painkillers all day today ( think he feels better than me!!!!)

Most of the blisters seem to have been re-absorbed -- couple of biggies still there tho !

I have just read this I hope the little person is ok today  :y
What caught my eye was the beginning of Debs post , I would hope that was meant to be toddlers and not tiddlers you realy would not want either to be burnt  ;)

Thanks -- yes, he's OK now. I know I am biased but I am REALLY proud of how he's handled this mishap.

I would want neither my toddler nor tiddler burnt  :o
