I'm sure the controllers or sensors that control varible speed limits go to sleep as I've seen 40 mph limits on motorway overhead gantries in very light traffic! ::) Why? :-\ >:(
Rog, did you know that the cameras on the variable speed limit on the M4 past Newport and through the Brynglas Tunnels are now live? ;)

To be honest, I never knew that they were NOT live ! So, no problem ::)

Me neither, and I always used to chuckle at those zipping past me at 70-80 in the 40-50 limits! ::) ;D
According to reports they caught "over 240" people speeding in the first 3 days that they were enforcing the limits. Doesn't seem that many given how busy that stretch of motorway is. :-\
