Title: Our government
Post by: STEMO on 14 November 2016, 13:21:48
How cringemaking is it to hear our politicians, mainly the blond buffoon, backtracking on their opinions of the Donald. I'm not saying they weren't right in the first place, but the creeping over the 'special relationship' (A term that we use, not the upstart colonials) is embarrassing enough to make you want to hide behind the sofa.
What a pathetic little island we have become.

A case of 'Boris the bloodless' thinking Trump had no chance of being elected.

From this point on his tongue will be firmly up Mr Trumps anal orifice.

Good. He'll have difficulty talking in that position.

After watching Donald on the box , his body language suggests that he feels completely out of his depth at present, I truly believe he thought he never thought he would get this far & is thinking what the F**K do I do now. These are just my own thoughts will be interesting to see how it all develops.

It may be a case of 'realisation dawns'. He certainly doesn't seem quite so cocky of late.

I'm guessing that being president of the USA is more scary and complicated that Trump had imagined.

He may be OK, Ike had no political experience before taking office.

Our current Govt. doesn't seem to do anything at all, so far. Which makes them the best Govt in a very long time.  :)

radio 2 today was asking for experiences  from brits who had met and conversed Trump. He seems to have been quite approachable, and chatty with strangers/customers/clients - from the looks and frowns on his face this week I get the impression its now dawned on him that he`ll need all of the help he can get from his security detail henceforward and the life he once knew has now gone perhaps forever

Although his wife is very shaggable, I just don't think the President of the United States should have a trophy, Eastern European wife. Bit tacky.

If you look at the utterly dire state the country was in before she came to power, then I fail to see how any objective person couldn't admit that, despite her faults, she saved this country.

Let's not exhume Maggie, there's plenty on the present agenda without looking backwards.

Old woman Thatcher was a divisive PM. She split the country in half.

Some in the South may have thought she could walk on water.

Many in the North still despise her to this very day.

Moral of the story...

Don't trust the greedy, lying union bastids :-X

Those mines would all still be open if the staff hadn't walked out...

Incompetent management with 19th century attitudes and useless politicians need to share some of the blame

It's quite possible to be a reasonable President if you surround yourself with good people, and recognise good advice when you hear it. If he's smart, that's what he'll do.
