Bathroom completely decorated, new toilet / cistern fitted, all new towel rails, loo roll holder fitted, mirror hung and sink area re-tiled.
Bedroom door, hollow rubbish has been off it's hinges for ages. Was nothing to screw to, so repaired the innards with some baton and screwed it all together. Used some bigger screws for the hinges to frame and got it all measured up and re hung.
Same with back door which has been off it's hinges for weeks, that's now secured in a simelar way and much better insulated.
Doesn't sound like a lot but in 2 days we've both been flat out, and I'm knackered!

Oh, and treated myself to a Black and Decker Jigsaw, it's wicked :D

My weekend (inbetween cooling off...) was finding out that I did the most stupid thing imaginable when fitting my LPG tank (hence i'm still running on liquid gold)...10 points to whoever can guess...
Oh, fitted a new shower rail as the old one wouldn't hold the shower head anymore...

I had to do something with my bedroom door - used the largest dowels (those splined ones - don't know the proper word!); drilled out and glued them in then redrilled to take the screws. The wooden equivalent of helicoiling!

I know how you feel, been going flat out on the house for 4 weeks now ready for sale.
Friday evening (started at 4.30pm) - empty dining room, remove carpet, remove grippers, remove underlay and remove skirting board. Clean and check floor and then lay laminate flooring.
Saturday - Take carpet etc to the tip. Go to rugby to look at houses and the area, get back late afternoon. Buy skirting board, cut and mitre plus fit with no more-hope-nails (its a sad day now that so called carpenters use this shite!), decorators calke to dress to wall and then gloss coat (I use ready primered MDF).
Sunday - Move furniture back into dining room, re-fill unit etc. G o round the rest of the house touching up the paint work and fixing all the little odd jobs. Go out for a curry and a beer.
Monday - Clean windows inside and out on house and then show two estate agents round for valuations.
Still, back to work tomorrow for a break and then off to Walsaw on Friday for a stag do! :y
Ow yes, the laminate floor (about 9m2), which although I hate the stuff, costed in at 115 quid including the new skirting board and tubes of no-more-hope....and that was for the good laminate not the uber cheap stuff so it certainly is cheap floor covering!
And if anybody is thinking of using laminate, replace the skirting boards, it looks SO much better and you can still place you furniture upto the walls. Its alos no more expensive as the architrave stuff you need otherwise is quite dear!
It does feel good when you complete these little jobs though!

I know that you won't appreciate this, but I feel like I've been working that much to get the landlord to get the shower looked at. >:( Stupid leccy pump stops all the time. In laws on the plane later this week, gonna be mega embarrassing if they can't take showers. >:( >:( >:(

I put a blind up in the kitchen - after 3 years of asking
then i took the dining room door of to slice a piece of the bottom to stop it fouling the carpet which was fitted in December........got a bit carried away with the electric saw,and when i put it back it was soon apparent that any half talented limbo dancer could now enter the dining room without bothering to open the door :-[
mrs bitz was not even slightly amused. ;D

Might have another piece in the loft.......it was only fitted for about 2 years before it was suddenly to small following the extension!
Ow yes, I also spent an hour traveling to and from the neighbours daughters yesterday to break into her house (she had locked her keys inside)......god those euro locks are easy to get into!

Hahaha! ;D We've all done it!
...though aren't new doors p$ss cheap now!?! Albeit crap quality but it does the job and if you paint and dress them properly, looks like a smart job.
