Title: God bless the AA
Post by: TheBoy on 14 November 2016, 18:05:30
Usual junk mail arrived today, proudly claiming that I could get insurance through them for as little as £195.

I took that to mean nobody ever gets it for £195....
...esp as my cars are FC with protected NCD, business use, 20k pa (10k on battlebus), declared mods etc.

Seeing as 2 of mine are cheaper than that anyway, and the 3rd is only a bit more, it doesn't sound like the once-in-a-lifetime bargain the letter made out.

Like all the big companies, they offer you a shite offer, dress it up as the deal of a lifetime and know that people will fall for it because it's the AA, British Gas, British Telecom etc etc etc.  ::)

Bastards the lot of them!  :-X  >:(

But surely most people have an idea of what they are paying, and wouldn't go for it?

Or is this another reason we need a mass cull?

I will never get anywhere near that purely because of my postcode.

You broke the shitbox again?  Mine just won't die :(

Which is an issue as I'm fast running out of time to fix the bullet before its MOT, or get a replacement car. Hop I don't get stuck with just my shitbox bus :(

Mine ran out of electric about a week ago (lack of use) - I'd walked all the way to find it, and buggered if I was going to walk back home again to get jumpstarter ;D.  I couldn't believe it, the damn thing started on the very last bit the battery had to give ;D

Refreshingly self aware.  :)
