I often wonder why for any given time period that Fords generally fetch more money than the equivalent Vauxhall.After all the Vx product was really no better or worse than the Ford offering.

The omega is great from the back and not bad from the side. From the front it's just a corsa or an astra.

That applies to most cars to be fair... Nissan being the notable exception as their brand identity would seem to be pigugliness.
Even the shape of rear lights can have a nod to brand heritage... The red taillights on the current Galaxy and Mundeo hark back to the finned Galaxies of the '50s 8)
If the Omega didn't look like the Astra from the front it would have no identifiable features...
