Title: Sex abuse allegations
Post by: Varche on 27 November 2016, 16:32:48
Difficult subject I know but I am not surprised at the latest football allegations. Seems it is human nature (for some) to abuse their position and perhaps to gravitate to such positions.

My first thought is always  "tip of the iceberg".

I remember some years ago asking my nephew why he had given up going to the scouts when he so used to enjoy it. His answer left me in no doubt but classically I didn't do anything. Why? Well it was some years after the event but what clinched it rightly or wrongly was him asking me "not to tell his Dad , as he would kill him". The him obviously not being his son.

It is awful how some abuse their position & carry out these dreadful acts on those that have been entrusted into their care, you would like to think that exposure of the offences will lead to more care being taken but somehow these depraved individuals seem to almost always slip through the net.

We all know what the answer is, but while we have to abide by rules set by lily-livered, liberal ponces then we're not gonna be able to deliver justice, are we? They should be castrated, and I don't mean chemically. Then they should be branded, right across their forehead.

That is why paedofiles over the years have chosen careers such as teaching, scouting, sports etc. as it was an easy way to get access to kids and young adults. Since the advent of the checks of people applying for these positions it it is, hopefully, now more difficult for them to do so. As for historic abuse, it seems that people are more prepared to come forward to accuse their abusers due to more reporting in the media. It certainly takes courage to speak out even now and i admire the ones who do, It must be a very difficult thing for them to do.

That assumes, wrongly in my view, that all existing paedophiles are known to the authorities. The problem is those who are not known and who would therefore still pass a DBS check.

I was concerned to hear a representative from the FA saying on Radio 4 yesterday that they were " determined to get to the bottom of it." :o :-X

.      I saw the interview with Piers Morgan as usual it was his opinion was the right one , Bristow tried to explain his comments but Morgan was having none of it neither of them were right or wrong ( only my view)  not really a subject than can be discussed in a matter of minutes. The real question is why are people waiting years to report these vile creatures.

What is it with people when they use Twitter and others ? Do their brains evaporate or something ?

Here's a guy who gets (sorry "got") paid for talking about stuff that he likes talking about, and probably gets paid for a pile of other stuff based on his past glories. Gone, just because of a big mouth (Mouth ? well what exactly is it in Twitterland. A big finger ?) Loads of other have lost jobs, endorsement deals, sponsorships blah blah due to this sense of invincibility. They deserve to lose that cash out of sheer stupidity, not for their views.

However, regardless of public apologies and general crawling, those views are probably what they really think. So . . . .
