Good evening, I am the happy owner of an opel omega 2.5 V6 1999 that I bought 3 days ago, but I have a couple of faults that I do not know how to solve.
The fault is that the needle of the countdowns revolutions badly and goes up to 7000 rpm and always stays there, until the car is turned off, I have put a video so that it is better understood.

And the other problem is that the TC light does not turn on in the frame, nor when you put the contact but it turns on the abs and goes off when starting.
I would appreciate if someone knows where the problem comes from giving me a clue, I have released the connector plug of the crankshaft sensor but it does the same.
thanks greetings

I would suggest starting with checking the alternator... a failing regulator plays havoc with the electronics :-\
Guide here...

Thanks, I'll make the checks and write down the values.

Good evening, I checked the battery voltages for 2 days and the results are a bit strange, yesterday I started the car and I measured on the 14.20v posts and with the accelerated car
14.26 v.
Today after a trip of 200kms, I checked again and it gave me 13.5 v at idle, 13.5 v with the car accelerated and 12.5 v with the car stopped.
I have made some videos so you can see the reaction of the needle, if I connect the thermowell starts to oscillate and if I also turn on the fan, the needle drops to 0.

I have also noticed that in the computer, I mark well the average consumption, the autonomy, but does not mark the instantaneous consumption nor the speed nedia, I do not know if it
can be a common fault of the alternator or is another problem.

The truth is that I'm a little lost and I do not know how to act.
I do not know where the car picks up the signal for the needle of the revolutions, and if it is from the same site as the instantaneous consumption data.
What do you think may be the problem? Thank you
