Getting a bit fed up with the Mig, one thing after another, yet is is low mileage, ultra clean for it's year and even the garage call it a 'star car'
Vauxhall engines seem to be tempremental, what will mate with the gearbox or what engine and gearbox combination will fit?
Never going to get swmbo to drive this, so now it is a toy, any thoughts, real world though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Might be worth selling then top up a bit and get a V6 Miggy. :y

for the small difference in fuel costs make sure its a 3.0 v6

Was thinking on those lines till recent problem, which I think is only the voltage regulator. ::)
Mine is an estate, very clean I would have thought it would sell for more than a V6. ;) ;) ;)
needs a Ford or Rover engine in it for reliability :-X

Nooooooo, it's in a lovely tidy car, might be front wheel drive but it is quite spacious, comfy and goes like stink and drives like a go Kart. it is suosed to by my toy, it was my car, swmbo is suposed to be in the Mig, but I will never convince her that it is reliable, which it is not, thinking about parking it outside a bungalow in Scarbrough ;D ;D ;D

Had a P6B for a couple of years, lovely car but did like it's petrol. even ran ok ish when the distributor was faulty, got a new one from Enfield Pageant. :y

exactly what i had - 1998 model - ran brilliant for the 5 years i had it - no problems whatsoever....til the auto box died and i had to scrap it :(
common weak point apparently - so just be careful - mine had only done 80k

Auto fluid is fine and smells OK, if the box goes then so will the car, owes us nothing really, uses a little oil, I checked it the other day and could have done with a longer dipstick, this car is not overservices and just goes on and on, and swmbo hammers it.... ::) ::) ::)

if it ever smells burnt its time to go....of course I only noticed AFTER it died - so maybe theres no warning

With the down draft webbers the noise they make on hard acceleration is just beautiful and they look amazing with 6 chrome trumpets coming up out of the V of the engine and the engine will go faster 0 to 60 and have a better top end. Also you will need to cut a hole in your bonnet, so come on Big Bri your half way there, come over to the darkside :D :D

Only problem is you'll look like an american hot rod -- minus the flame decals 8-)
With a limited Slip Diff on it -- will go good -- with LSD up your arse, you won't care ( I'm flying, man, flyyyyyyyyiinngggg :D )

won't a v8 hemi pair up a35 transmission. i,m sure it would fit cos it a shorter engine block than bmw diesel.
