Well guys did u know in your facelifts if u turn the car off and press the auto button on the climate control the heaters come on Dunno weather it works for pre-facelift :-? (known this for some time just didn't get round to posting it ;D)

Its in the manual I believe ;)

I believe (though not entirely sure) that for this to work on prefacelift, you need the extra pump option.

Extra pump option i could think of many things to say about that but i won't ::)

Just checked, can't find any programming on prefacelift ecc, so don't think it will work under any circumstance...

I dont believe this! My son has just put his Horrid Henry DVD on upstairs. So all I can hear is nah nah na nah nah (the theme tune) Its a conspiracy :(

I've driven facelifts for 5 years now and never knew.  :(  Now Chopsmam can keep the windscreen clear when I'm double parked outside the chippy.  Invaluable advice Mick  :y

Strangely that seems to be the point of the aux pump.  Why they thought it was worth putting all that in so that you could have heat for a little while after turning the car off is beyond me.  Police stakeout feature maybe?!  Where's the heat lamp for the doughnuts then?  :D

Doesn't run your battery down m8 it uses all the heat it's got left stored in your engine

It runs the fan to pump the heat into the car......and the fan uses more amps than a heated rear screen.
