Why are so many of the sellers selling it for a friend / Uncle / Dad etc? ??? ???

That's usually enough to make me walk.

The cynic in me

In once asked (via email) if I could see the death certificate and whether he had probate. Did not well down go. My bad

Two schools of thought there. First one is - obviously - it might not be genuine. Putting the shoe on the other foot... if I'd have had to have sold my old mans motor after he died, I'd have found that difficult enough, especially without having to "prove" his death to anyone interested.
As per any old car - caveat emptor ;) - There is no such thing as an Omega, given their age, with a credible warranty.... so you're better off just having a good look at any potential purchase, and taking your chance ... only paying a price at which you can afford to lose recourse :y
