Title: Droplinks - best source ?
Post by: Migv6 le Frog Fan on 04 February 2017, 20:44:27
Got a knock from the front end when going over bumps. Droplinks are the first suspect, as everything wishbone related is new, and springs look ok.
Is there currently a consensus on the best brand / supplier for droplinks ?
GSF have Vetech at a reasonable price, but I don't know anything about the brand.

Years ago, a well respected  member of the ABS fitted a pattern drop link to his Senator (might have been a Monza  ???) Within 12 months the pattern drop link was fubar'd while the original OE link on the other side was perfectly OK. The last drop I bought came  from Vauxhall & was something like £20odd ...... it's  often easier & cheaper tov fit OE.

I've had a pair of Meyle heavy duty on mine for a few years with no issues. Think they had a four year warranty when I bought them.

Best place I've found for them is  advanced factors.      http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/616-060-5575hd-meyle-stabilizer-link-opel-omega-a--senator-b-0986-0494-omega-b-0394-0703-vauxhall-carlton-mk-iii-0986-0394-omega-mk-i-470724-p.asp

£23.54 delivered for the pair.

Same here. Outlasted GM, most of their stuff is poor quality now  :(

I've currently got Meyle HD on one, and I GM on t'other.

Of the cheapies I've tried, the Meyle are a lot more durable than others at the sub £40 a pair.

I think ATP are fantastic, used them for loads now - most recently for the Mazda front suspension. Really good prices, quick and no problems  :y
