Treated myself to a new toy today a 3g I phone.
Now I will be the first to admit I thought the first ones were a bit of a gimmick and due to not havin 3g they were a little slow.
This one is brilliant, very intuative to use, the graphics are clearer than anything I have come across before on a phone.
Stacks of features and loads of apps as well, it just seems to be better than anything windows can currently offer.

i plan to blag one next month when my contract is up for re-new.
-
well worth it, I had a blackberry before and this is just so much more user friendly
-
Always wondered... can you see the digits to dial when it's really sunny?

is it true you can download the version 2.0 software to the original iphone to enable 3g? :-/
-
Same as most i could get something like this on my next upgrade/renewal but i would'nt know what to do with it.
What's an application? I know the grammatical meaning of the word but in the context you lot are on about i'm lost!!! ::) :o :)

Been using them at work and been very dissapointed.
There big (not ideal pocket size by any means)
The camera is still crap
Battery life is awful (was getting about 1.5 hours when used as a satnav)
They crash way to often (try fast tapping the screen)
Not as user friendly as you might think, typing stuff is a night mare!
The receiver is pretty poor
All in its yet another gimeky apple product with a fancy user interface that fails to do the basics well.

yeah don't hold back Mark - tell us what you really think :D

From a phone perspective, its pretty poor!
Its at the size where its a little bit to large to chuck in your pocket safely so I do wonder why they didn't make it a little larger with a bigger screen.
We had a discussion forum on it last week (we get them to use in order to evaluate them for Sony Ericsson) and the view was that it was aimed at software geeks......so I then went down to the 1st floor (Softie land) and guess what, loads of iphones!

The Samsung F490 is a good alternative..

To big? - Get bigger pockets ;) - Its same size as the iPod Classic/Touch, that fits in my pocket fine.
Camera is usable - A phone will never be a camera anyway
Battery, considing size of screen and features it lasts ok, better than some Nokia's!
Typing - Its just practice, 1 way around, press and hold, and slide your finger up and down, to the key, then release, rather than just tap. Like anything practice, and you get better ;)
To get better signal, move south! ;D

Lol.....software geek alert!
Yes, much to big. High risk of cracking the screen if you sit down!

Too many comments to be made, which may result in my post count going! ;D
I never keep my phone in my back pocket, too tight, and compresses the phone at an odd angle, side pockets, or jacket for me.
iPhone is no bigger than a crackberry.....

Got several K850i's here, still not great.
remember phone companies keep showing off more and more mega pixels in the camera phones, but they are still on the same size CCD, you get greater colour spill the more pixels they try and cram in.
Higher megapixel, does not mean better images!

Hit the nail on the head! Its an ipod, with half-arsed phone/contacts mgr built in.
You soon realise that the interface has limitations and too many inconsistencies

I agree 100% K800i and even the k810i is better than the K850i :y
