He is asking people to reconsider......or so he says.
What he really means (but dare not say) is that in his opinion the people who voted leave were.... too stupid......too uneducated .....too thick to know what they were doing.
I find it hard to believe that at such a late stage in 'Brexit' certain people still believe we can ignore the will of the people. :-\ :-\ :-\
Move on Mr Blair, surely you should be making plans to invade a country or two with your old mate George W bush. Now there is one real 'thicky' ;)
-
Hasn't he been hung, drawn and quartered yet?
And as important, who is giving the treasonous scvunt media space? >:(
They should be hung next to him :-X

Even as a 'remainer' I find his approach quite insulting.

" imperfect knowledge " " alternative facts " " there are WMDs in Iraq"
Slimey little hypocrite should keep his mouth shut and his head below the parapet.

I hope he dies.......soon. :)

It's a patronising way of saying " I'm giving all you stupid people the opportunity to correct the error you have made"

And keep my own personal gravy train rolling.

That's only because he too busy being an odious, weaselly turd to notice...
Can only assume that the tnuc, and I apologise but it's the only word that fits, either has a book coming out or wants a peerage before they get abolished >:(
Edited as I wouldn't wish to offend the BBC...

Something else for the BBC to play on. Crawl back under your rock, slimebag >:(

So B.Liar has called for the people to 'rise up' against BREXIT. ::)
What he clearly can't see is that the people rose up against the EU last year! :y

Weird. Why is he doing this?
I would have thought that asking the people to rise up against the democratic will of the people was undemocratic.
-
I certainly think that we should aim for the best possible Brexit, and that politicians (and the people) should hold the government to account, and not give it an easy ride.
But this is not the same as what Blair wants.
-
His ambition has been for many years to be President of the United States of Europe.Which is why he integrated the UK further into the EU at every opportunity.
If he could get the U.S.E. he always dreamed off (and it came pretty close), he would be on a par with his counterpart across the pond in the former colony.
He cant accept that this dream is dying before his very eyes, and is so arrogant and deluded that he thinks he will simply put a stop to it.
My personal dream is to see him swinging on the end of a rope in Parliament square. I would pay every penny I have to be allowed to pull the lever and watch him drop.
I hate him.

Why ?
Because the Eurocrats think he is wonderful, and if he should have some effect they will think he is even more wonderful, and give him some kind of well paid position in the event that things change. Hmmm careful Rog . . . .

If the Blair has another outburst, as a nation we can make a big day out of it :D
The Royal Marines lost some good blokes :( their Band would be happy to participate
Just think of the feel good factor 5 - 4 -......
......"How are feeling Tony ??? do you have summat to say to the nation "...3 - 2
-
I would give a nanoshit about his feelings...
-
I watched his speech and felt very uncomfortable during and in the Q&A afterwards.
Firstly , he's a dreadful orator with woeful timing and continuity , the deliverance was painful .
The content came from a a man who's egotistical belief in himself was all too obvious and the pontificating manner in that it was conveyed bordered on embarrassing .
With his track record , or lack of it , I cannot understand who,or whom ,would propose him as a suitable figurehead to persuade the populace that they were ,in essence , too stupid to understand the complexity of Brexit and that they're democratic decision should be denounced and dismissed.
Methinks that the crusade of repeal is doomed further by the touch of Blair .
-
No bad thing...
-
Always considered Blair to be a complete arsehole, this attitude proves it.
-
So generally speaking Tony won't be getting an invite to the next OOF meet then? :D

I'm sure Tony would be welcomed with open arms at an OOF meet, where the members would arrive equipped with such items as tar, feathers, rope, gallows, gibbet etc etc :)

He did win three consecutive elections, albeit against very poor Tory opposition.
I voted for him in 1997. By this time the Major government was 'a busted flush'.

It's a patronising way of saying " I'm giving all you stupid people the opportunity to correct the error you have made"
Ignoring the fact its Blair for a mo - and he is the reason this won't gain traction - your comment is correct Dr. A significant proportion of the population is too stupid to take in any more than the Daily Fail/Guardian/BBC/Sky media falsely peddle. Hence we need a mass cull. Churchill nailed it really.
I think the Iraq thing shows how little impact the Prime Minister actually has. As much as I distrust him, I think he thinks he made the right decisions with the information he was fed at the time - if his intelligence services have proved* that there was a demonstrable risk of WMD and a desire to use it, surely civilised society should intervene?
*Made out to be proven, we'll probably never really know where opinion/wishes turned to proof/fact within the Civil Service.
Not that I like the little shit, he'd be in the cull line ;D

TB......I didn't say I thought parts of the population are too stupid to walk and chew gum at the same time. I said I think that is what Tony Blair thinks. :)
There is a difference. ;)
As for the cull list, can Jeremy Kyle be first please? :)
-
he's a dreadful orator with woeful timing and continuity , the deliverance was painful .
He is still going for that media soundbite delivery style that worked so well for him from the mid nineties onwards, which when heard in full, sounds "difficult".
Remember, mainstream Fail/Guardian/BBC/Sky is very pro Brexit, so will show it in a format to make it seem bad - and they have a gift of it being Blair delivering. I'm beginning to like Mr Trump, as clearly he ain't playing up to the media, which I find refreshing, even if I don't necessarily agree with his politics. I bet he'd have no issues ordering a mass cull ;)
As to Brexit, we know our manufacturing is going to take a hit. 2 GM plants will clearly close in the coming year, Nissan's Sunderland one is likely to not win new contracts. Some true British brands like ze Germans MINI and India's JLR will probably have a longer term future, although JLR are planning facilities all over the world now. British steel manufacturing is looking like a bleak future. And the bankers are leaving - although I wouldn't expect much sympathy from the thick masses, who cant understand why that will make us all poorer.
But we voted to leave, so leave we must. In the same way as the SNAFU or Iraq, once the decision has been made, we must implement, even it its most likely wrong.

I've found something I agree with Blair on ;D
He can go after your avatar on the cull list. Jeremy Whine is first.
-
I'd like to understand what B.Liar thinks qualifies him to make pontifications like this?
Yes, we voted for him 2 decades ago, then found him wanting. I wish he'd just crawl back under a stone like most failed politicians do, and only preach to those who actually seek an audience with him. >:(
I never thought I'd say it, but I've been taking a lot of advice from Boris these last few days. It's just that I like my telly and it'd be a shame if I had to punch it.

I just wish that lanky mare Theresa would stop pissing about and implement article 50.

Ok, so it's all your fault ::)

She might have done so by now if the Courts hadn't intervened and ruled that Parliament has to approve the process. ;)
And it could be a while yet if the Lords cause trouble on the A50 bill. ::)

You really cannot be serious ! :o
The Fail hedged its bets on the issue. Daily Fail very pro brexit. Fail on Sunday very pro remain. Guardian and BBC couldn't have been more pro remain if they had tried. Sky tried to appear objective, but was actually pro remain. :y
TV channels showed his speech live, unedited.
-
The Guardian made me chuckle yesterday when the Blair story briefly knocked Trump off of his Guardian headline perch. ::)
They then probably realised that they had misjudged the public's mood regarding Blair from the comments, and relegated the story and put up a couple of opinion pieces attacking Blair for getting involved. ;D

No, no, no, no. Maybe in their attempts to pretend to be neutral, Farage lovers might call them Pro Remainers ;D
Can't speak for Fail on Sunday, never go into office on Sunday. But without doubt, the Fail, the Guardian, Sky news were all for leaving, giving column inches/airtime to the leavers, and highlighting remainers goofs, and mostly just concentrating on Cameron for remain. I think the BBC news anchors were trying to be neutral, but every piece about the referendum had that ugly blonde tart - the one who looks like she lost an argument with a cricket bad - who is so anti-Europe, anti-England and anti-Westminster its cringing to watch. Still, I suppose Opti would shag it.
-
I wont argue all the various points, as that would take us back to those long tedious tit for tat threads we used to have on here, but there is no way on gods earth that the Guardian was pro leave. It has always worshipped at the altar of the great EU god of lefty liberal elitism.
It defines the existence of the Guardian and its small band of readers.
It may be that the appalling standard of journalism added up to a weak defence of the thing they love most, which could have been mistaken for a veiled agenda of pro leave. Now that I could believe. :D
Difficult to imagine the Beeb being neutral on the subject when it receives £ millions from the EU. ;)
-
Various polls have shown that Tony BLiar has the great honour of being reviled by the vast majority of people from ALL of the political spectrum and ALL age groups from youngsters to pensioners. :y :y :y
So, I think it is fair to say he only offers the kiss of death for anything he supports. Don't forget he is the chief Middle Eastern Peace Ambassador, which we can see from ISIL and Syria is going as well as all of his political leadership policies, always have and always will. :o :o :o
IMO The charlatan only entered politics to enrich himself and his family and it is the only thing he has ever done successfully. >:( >:(
