Sorry to be so thick, I must have taken too many stupid pills today, but I cannot see how to add a picture to my profile. I've looked through the profile windows and tried, but no luck. I know it CAN be done, bevause so many of you clever people have done it - HELP, please!
Ron.

Top of the forum profile page :P

Been there, done that - got nowhere!
I wanted to put up a photo of where my Omega and I were last week - at the seaside - and even tried it via Dropbox, but nuffink!

Upload a photo or picture to PhotoBucket, resize it to conform to the avatar size allowed by the forum, click on the image link in PhotoBucket and copy the link, Login to OOF, go to 'Profile', then 'Forum Profile', paste your link in to the upper box (Personalised Picture) and click to select 'Specify Avatar by URL'.
HTH. :y

I also tried, failed and gave up quite a while ago now LOL

Ah, "minifreek", at least I'm not the only one - thanks!
"YZ250! I don't have Photobucket, only Dropbox and I did what you said but with Dropbox and as I said earlier, no dice.

Have you tried inserting an avatar from the gallery using the method above. It's just the same but when personalising you put your own link in the box and choose URL. :y
With Dropbox, don't you have to change the dl=0 to dl=1 and just delete the spaces from the img tag sat the end of the URL. :-\ I remember Entwood had issues with that but I may be confuddled. :-\ Anyway, it's straightforward enough using PhotoBucket, give that a go as it's free. Can be a bit ploddy these days though.
EDIT: It was Entwood helping Nick, not Entwood having issues. Thought I'd clear that up as I don't want to upset Nige. ;D :y
EDIT:
Ah, just found this to do with Dropbox.

Give the PhotoBucket method a go when you are at a loose end. :y
Edit:
Ah, you already have. :)

Way way too big that's why. and if you reduce it to 75px you won't see anything other than a blur :(
P.S you don't want Img tags in the avatar URL ;)

Quite right. :y It was the actual tag signs that I was referring to, so it should start like [URL=http://s894.photobucket.com :y
