Just started. Hoping it will be better without the Ginger ego monster. Cant be any worse than Amazon,s Grand Tour surely ?
-
Maybe I'm getting old, but I'm finding it utterly tedious. :-\
-
My subjective opinion is as follows.
Matt Le Blanc carries the show on his own. Chris Harris is too smarmy and insincere, and I can't help feeling that the black kid ( I will need to google his name) is there merely for the purpose of political/racial correctness.
Six out of ten.

Recorded it. Might watch if nowt else on in the week. Let me guess...is it grown men acting like kids in cars?
-
I liked it... and the extra Top Gear too...

Pre-kids. ;D

Haven't watched it yet, but my gut feeling is probably the same as most, Top Gear has done its time now, both on the BBC and Amazon. :(
-
I suspect the media center recorded it, but not watched it yet.
Got round to watching some more of the Amazon ones, quite enjoyed the beach buggy ones :).
-
Downloaded it this morning, might get a chance to watch it in the next couple of days hopefully, went off Clarkson & co just seemed to get sillier as the episodes went on.

I recently watched this episode. Quite enjoyable in the usual adolescent way. Typically Clarkson had to have a 200 BHP Rover V8 in his buggy rather than the usual Beetle lump.

I thought last nights was way better tah anything from the last series :y
-
Watched a little bit of it with my Grandson, so far so good.

Highly optimistic for a 3.5 carb v8 ;) They only manage ~180 in the 4.0 with EFI ::)

What did that lump manage in 4.0 TVR form?

It was OK.....
Matt Le Blanc is and always will be a bit of a wooden presenter.... the other 2 - dunno why they're there TBH except to make up the numbers....
-
When will the BBC learn that the 3 presenter layout worked because of who they were? Found it a little "beige" myself.
Mind you, I'm finding bits of the Grand Tour tedious too :-\

I don't think it matters who does it, the whole format is stale.

Exactly. :y................time to let the concept(s) die a natural death, instead of keeping the life support plugged in for the sake of £££££

Tried watching it now the ginger tosser has gone. Managed 20mins. Utterly unspeakably awful.
Chris Harris is the only one who's capable of presenting and knows anything about cars.
Token black guy... there aren't words for how shit he is.
-
I was enjoying it until they bent the Ovlov. That was clearly someone's pride and joy for many years :(

I only watched the first episode of the last one... so far this is an improvement. Matt LeBlanc still carries the show and tother two might as well not be there though :-\

There is still clearly the demand for it and similar. Mind you, hardly surprising when you compare it to what else is on the telly.
Saw another GT episode last night, one where they kept blowing up Hammonds armoured van. Tediously predictable, but amusing in a purile, childish kind of way. I did actually audibly laugh at that bit.
-
Saw the rest of it this morning, not very impressed with any of the presenters , doubt if I will watch the rest of the series.
-
Just watched it, mixed bag really. Reviews tend to be good, but the 3 of them together is not working.... yet.
Felt too wooden and 'forced' banter/mate type behaviour, trying to replicate what Clarkson/Hammond/May had naturally.
That said, it's early days and it took time for the original trio to really blend.
Not bad overall, but won't seek out new episodes, only go to watch it if nothing else on.

Watched it last night, and I agree that they are not only trying to follow the old format, but the presenters are trying, badly, to be like the old presenters.
Mrs TB just said at the end, they shouldn't have bothered.
They just seem too awkward together. But now, unlike last series, it seems the trio will work more together (rather than the overgrown zoo in the Evans attempt), maybe they will start to gel.... ....but you get the impression these 3 aren't mates
