Saturday eve, probably around 2130 - to get to Dagenham... M1-M25-A13 or A1-M11-North circular-A13?
Or will it not make a blind bit of difference and we'll end up sat in traffic either way?

Use 'Waze' GPS App on your phone, by far best way. Always constantly changing with roadworks, accidents etc, Waze uses traffic data and plots best route and adapts as you go :y
But that time of night, prob M25 :y

M25 all day long... no pun intended :y

M25 Easier, but further in miles I think
North Circular, very unpredictable, and more Saturday Night Turbo Nutters, Lunatic White Van Men etc, plus lots of speed limit changes and cameras
My advice is to listen to radio as you get near and just listen for major jams on M25. If ok, go that way.
If it was me, M25
I don't live there now, but lived near J25 of M25 for years

North circular route may be a third of the distance but will be twice the time and twice the fuel...

How you chose to come down from the North (A1/M11/M25 or M1/M25) is your call subject to traffic, but the bottom line is once you get down there the difference between M1/M25 or M11, they are only around 15 minuits apart.
For me, living and commuting through the area, the answer is simple, every time, to get to the East end of London (or Dagenham in your case) get to the bottom of the M11 (be it M1/M25 or straight down the M11), bottom of the M11 then A406 into East London or from A406 to A13 to Daganham, no brainier, dont bother risking the M25 to Dartford Crossing and then come back in on the A13, its longer and if congested will take forever to get to Dag's the home of Fords.
By the way, your be surprised how much of Daganham and Rainham Land is owned by Fords.

Both routes at that time of night, no difference,.
I would go From your manor, A1-A14-M11-A406-A13. Take about 4-1\2 hours so factor in a 45 break.
Also what day of the week, are you looking to arrive in Dagenham at 21.30, or leaving up tut north at 21.30.
