Title: Did you know?
Post by: Nickbat on 03 August 2008, 00:26:11
...that at speeds above 50mph, it is (allegedly) more economical to use the aircon rather than have the windows down (due to increased drag).

also economical to have radio lights and anything electrical turned off. or better still just rip of the alternator belt. and while you at it rip off power steering equipment and that big viscous fan. before you know it you will have no car left and be wearing out expensive shoe leather just to make a cleaner carbon footprint. but by this time it will be just as expensive to walk as we will need to buy expensive water just to keep alive.

Love the perspective.

End of the day, I drive nearly 2 tonne worth of petrol car. Therefore I'm not overly worried about fuel to start with.

On that basis, if I'm too hot, I will use the aircon :y
