I have a Omega B1 2.5 v6, and i was wondering if its normal that the idle is quite high just after startup ? After some minutes it goes back to approximatly 700-800 rpm.

My 3,0 will idle at around 1100rpm when cold. In the winter for a couple of minutes. Shorter in the summer. After that it will drop straight down to 500 rpm. I believe thats normal behaviour.

Totally normal, especially if it's properly cold outside...
Certainly on the 2.6/3.2, the ecu will adjust fuelling a varying amount according to temperature. All to do with getting the cats upto temp asap :y

Yep totally normal .the 2.5 and 3.0 have an idle air valve on the side of the plenum .this lets in air when engine is cold and closes as engine warms.it also keeps the speed stable as more electrical items are turned on.the later 2.6 and 3.2 don't have this valve and do it electronically instead

That is too high, a 2.5/3.0 should idle at a shade under 500 rpm (AC off), or about 550rpm (AC on).
Check some retard hasn't adjusted the throttles to stop them fully closing.

Or that the idle unit hasn't slipped out of its rubber mounting causing an air leak

Is the multiram operational?
should be growling for a couple of minutes then settle

Growl is from SAI pump.
