Title: Alastair Campbell is deluded.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 31 March 2017, 11:57:10
Speaking with Andrew Neil on 'This Week' he said he STILL didn't believe Brexit would happen.

So how does that work in practical terms?

We crawl back to the EU like a whipped-dog with it's tail between it's legs and say sorry .........will you take us back please.

That is never going to happen. I think Campbell has lost the plot.

I can't see it either TBH, at least not in the way Campbell is talking.

The only way I could see it coming about is if we strike a transitional deal for a number of years (relatively likely IMHO) and the EU dissolves/implodes before the end of that period (relatively unlikely IMHO).

But as for not going through with it, I can't imagine how it could happen. There would have to be a General Election for starters, which the Tories would have to lose and for us to end up with some sort of Lib Dem/SNP coalition. You've got more chance of seeing Rolf Harris present a new series of Jim 'll Fix it.

I was quite impressed with his speech on terror last week but he seems to have undergone a brain fart transplant  since

I believe that happened some time ago.

As much as I wish different, Article 50 has now been served.  So as I posted the other day, we are now in "Charge of the Light Brigade" territory with no going back. :D ;)

From the conversations I have had with remain voters, most of them seem to accept where we are now, and are of the opinion that we should now unite as a country and make the best of what is coming.
The Limpdems though, they are a different breed. They are convinced the world has come to an end.

Absolutely right! :y :y

And no, I am certainly NOT a Limpdems and recognise how they are still flogging a dead horse.

PS I would sooner vote Labour (with Tony Blair at the helm) than EVER vote Limpdem! :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D

Fixes accepted and recommended for actioning soonest :y

Only proviso is that Scumbell and Ton E Bliar be first hung for treason. The Committee does however accept that people still want to shoot them and therefore accept and approve of this course of action once the are drawn. Or before if preferred.

I was always short of an expression to describe him until Jonathan Pie nailed it recently (somewhat NSFW):
