Taxi today from Limerick to Shannon airport.
2004 Volvo S80 D5 auto, with 501k miles on the clock! Yes, miles, not km.
In speaking to the driver (who has had the car from 30k miles), he puts the longevity down to oil changes @6k miles.
So there you go, that's the most I've experienced......

But you forget, apparently the D5's eat head gaskets and blow their auto boxes every 50 feet. ::) ;D

My 190 is on 230k. The say they are still a bit tight until they pass 250k. ;D

My 95 omega mv6 has done 456.000 kms now(about 285.000 miles). Still drives great. No current issues:)

they work monday to friday 16 hours per day
saturday and sunday 3 shifts for 8 hours

What was the interior like on the Volvo? I've heard they wear the years/miles well but that is extreme!

Not bad actually....., Leather was much better than I was anticipating..... Overall a bit creaky though

Well, I'd take a bit creaky at 500k, particularly as Taxis dont lead the easiest of lives! :)

My 232k miles 3.0l still has a great engine. Great enough to shag the gearbox ;D
