Hi can anyone tell me if later model headlight units are a straight swap for my 1995 estate? I have ones in that are 2 seperate H1 bulbs, would prefer the single bulb (think it is H4) units. The connection is one single black round plug. I know that later models are interchangeable with each other, done it before but not sure on the older ones being able to use later models.
Thanks for any help.

All Omega's have two bulbs, None of them use a H4 :-\

not a straight swap because of the corners where they meet the h/lamp trim/bonnet so need to swap lenses, connection wise like for like is the same although with a 1 wire mod you can use xenons like mine.

There was 3 different headlights fitted to pfl omegas. The standard halogen lights that you will have on yours as its a 95. But also later came the HID lights and the projector lamps. Both these are a straight swap but HID will probably bring some legal issues at least here in norway. (Headlamp levelling/sensors and such). I bought hella projector lamps for mine 95. Lamps for around 98 modell i guess. Plug and play and a big inprovement in light. That being said my girlfriend has a 94 omega still on its original halogen lights that the previous owner had professionally polished. Surprisingly good light on that car too.

MFL "projector" halogen units are a straight swap, and useful improvement, especially when coupled with the uprated (but less life) Osram Nighbreakers/Philips VisionPlus bulbs.
FL units aren't a great fit, and look "wrong" due to a different shape.
Retrofitting HID units are a grey area, as not easy to retrofit to DfT standards.
