Title: Vodafone - Free Roaming as of today.
Post by: zirk on 20 April 2017, 19:22:11
VF are now offering free Voice, Text and Data Roaming (same allowance as your home tariff) in selected Countries for pay monthly customers as from today.

Can only be a good thing if the other Networks follow suit.  :y

Or until Brexit kicks in.  ;D

3 have been doing this for some time now and plenty of places outside of the EU as well including the US and Indonesia.  :y

Anywhere where their parent company Hutchinson has a significant presence basically.  ;)

Yep, VF have been doing it for a while as well, but with limited Data allowance, so just a revamped same as home now.

Just remember with any Network (when the others start offering like for like) that this is for, apart from Internet Data, ringing or texting back to the UK when Roaming Abroad, NOT ringing or texting Abroad when Roaming or in the same Country, as most folk seem to get confused about.  ;)

Never roamed in my life. And I've got no intention of starting now.

Finally got my phone unlocked today... took EE all of half an hour having locked the phone I was hoping to use into an EE only phone by sending me the wrong Unlock key >:(

Now have a nice Z5 on 3 and a scruffy S on EE... be on the look out for an unlocked Z1/5 when I get home ::)

If I wasn't only halfway through my contract, I would consider cancelling it on principle :-X
