I doubt if anything is allowed to show in Google Earth by the military.

As for the runway, that is needed to test "craft" with advanced technology, acquired since WWII from sources unknown to joe public and for Skymaster aircraft to bring in and out "parts" along with complete craft. ;) ;)

These "craft" could well be what we see now in our skies as UFO's ;)

In Area 51, and are they "real time" pictures and not controlled by the US military? :-/ :-/

I know if you have high level clearance you cannot answer this as it would infringe what I am signed up to, the Official Secrets Act.  None of us really know what is fact or fiction, only what high levels of our authorities tell us. ;)

Probably what we know is not worth a blessed light, and certainly not classed as "Highly Sensitive Material", unless you are a "Smilley people"! ;D ;D ;)

We are only told what "they" want us to know.

We will ever only know what they want us too...lets face it they have done an amazing job so far.

After all if anyone dare think out of the box regards things that cant be explained there belittled and made too look like a loonie tune....just what the US government wants.

My mum worked for the MOD on an RAF base that was run by the USAF and with in her time there they (USAF) built a very modern hospital on base...wasnt until she was chatting too a yank he offered too give her a guided tour of the nuclear bunker that was built beneath the hospital.... :o

Wasnt till she said she didnt have a clue what he was talking about did the yank realise he had dropped a bollock by telling her....no one in our community was aware at the time it was built as a nuclear bunker... >:(

We are no threat to the US, they have a better use for us....

UK Mainland is just an early warning system for US, principle being that if you put US defence systems here we become a target and because the distances to the US from almost anywhere are further then we get hit first.... US get's about 14 minutes warning from us getting hit until it's their turn.

Well that was the principle in the Cold War era of ICBM's, but of course everyone thinks no one has nuclear weapons now....

They don't need us to be hit as a warning -- they will be alerted within seconds of a launch -- then I aimagine a few silos we know nothing about will open up here and launch a retaliatory strike, which will hit home before the offensive strike hits the US.

However, if that did happen, who hits who first would be academic, cos we will al fry together.

As we know the various "powers" have the capability to destroy this planet quite a few times over -- but once will be enough !!!!!

And, one day, It will happen ...........

That is actually the point; in the days of the cold war it was state versus state, with heavy military hardware involved.  Now it can simply be the individual terrorist, or a small group of them, that can cause carnage that will make 9/11 look like a day out in the park.

As individuals (a "horizontal" force), no longer as the state ("vertical" force), we can very much be a threat to the latter and especially the USA if we were so inclined.  That is the dilemma of modern state security; truely the enemy from within, like never before, can destroy it by deploying almost handheld (nuclear / germ / 'dirty') devices. >:(

LOL

Only problem being.... It's true!

Primary targets are military, first strike taking out strategic radar and silos, no radar then no accurate predicted impacts.
First strike was the percieved winner due to less return strikes but the operation of 'dead mans hand' type launch protocol made it pretty much pointless.

Even now, people don't quite get that even a small (Kiloton rather then Megaton) device will still cause massive damage and fallout (if ground burst) and huge Z Zones.

Gonna shut up now before I start on about DR7's and EMP!!!!

It doesnt really matter what you can see with google earth....i dont think Russia or like will bother to use it  ;) ;D

They will have their own spy satellites that will see in more detail  :y

As VXL V6 said.......its what you carnt see would be the interesting stuff.....the military only leave 'stuff' on display that they want you to see  :y

I think an X-ray image of area 51 would be more interesting..

just typed in sterling lines into google earth and it zoomed straight in.  :o :o :o :o :o
They're not at Stirling Lines anymore :(

Near Credenhill is the site of the former Royal Air Force station RAF Hereford, which is now the headquarters of 22 Special Air Service Regiment

agreed. but if you go to google earth and type in STERLING LINES it takes you to sterling lines, credenhill, hereford, hr4. shows the layout of the place with vehicles etc. i know it's not of much use to anybody. just interesting.
