Title: F1 (and a Silverstone Q)
Post by: Webby the Bear on 25 April 2017, 22:28:53
So then ladies. I trust we've all been watching this season. I can tell as there's not one thread up about it  ;D

based on the first races though it looks like "the spoiled brat" (TSB) actually has some competition from another team in the form of vettel and his prancing horse.

max is also continuing some fine form for red bull. Even tho their motor appears to be nowhere near the mercs and Ferrari.

Is it also possible that mclaren will end up as the bottom team  :'( could it be the end of them as a racing team if they don't sort their engine out asap?

On an aside I was a bit put off by the cars with the "shark fins" but they've grown on me. I love the cars. Lower, wider, faster. The noise is still shite though.

Finally. And I am most looking forward to this. For the first time I've got tickets for race day. Sitting in copse A. We normally just go to practise because when you are paid less than a performing seal it's difficult to find the dollar for such things. However I was determined to go this year.

Now my question..... we go park n ride from sixfields and on practice day we are there in quick time. I'm presuming on race day it will be gridlock. Is this the case

It was last time I went in 1982.  :y ;D
On race day you will see why the "spoilt brat" is one of the all time great racing drivers.  ;)
Now Vettel - there is one of the most spoilt of spoilt brats I have ever seen.  :)

I have no problem in conceding he is probably the best driver. When you watch him on board he is  so silky smooth whereas you see a lot of drivers working the wheel like they're fighting with the car. Great driver.

Then there's brand brat.

I'll speak to the yanks who sacked Bernie. See if I can hitch a lift  ;D

Any ideas how long it would take to get there from Northampton el Centrio? We will leave on the first bus. And then start drinking immediately once there.

Also we normally take a duffel bag full of beer on practice day. Will this be took off me on race day?
