Title: any PSV licence holders here?
Post by: omega2018 on 11 May 2017, 11:34:45
if a PSV driver gets an endorsement on his/her licence, does that (a) become a matter of public record and (b) make them lose their job?

A no, not necessarily. B depends on the offence, company policy and circumstances.

If the offence was committed in a private car then it falls to the company and their insurers... some might tolerate 6 points for two Fixed Penalties, whereas some my have negotiated a decent discount for a Zero points approach.

Any points 'earned' in a company vehicle are likely to attract a higher penalty from the courts in the first place... it is also possible to loose your commercial entitlement and retain your car one, albeit with all the points added.
